So I made this commitment yesterday, that I will not play Facebook while I am working. Though it is so damn tempting just to click the link in my chrome homepage bookmark.
and I broke the commitment on my first attempt today. Just can't help denying my stalker sense calling me to investigate one (often some) person in his/her Facebook profile.
Well, my job put me in the position of communicating with a lot of people, not only face-to-face but often also in written communications without ever know each other in reality. And maybe one day we meet, not recognize each other, and then feel so embarrassed to know that we have sent e-mails for several times before.
So in the name my curiosity, I often browse some persons who send me e-mail in Facebook. Most people mix their work e-mail with their general affairs such as Facebook, mailing list, etc. I used to separate them (so some people won't be able to check me up on Facebook by using my work e-mail) , but then I found my office e-mail was not working well and also I didn't have enough time to keep logging in and logging out just to check them all. So despite its forwarding options, I decided to mix them up just in one e-mail.
Well, back into the topic. My first intention to become Facebook stalker is just so I can easily recognize people when I meet them. But you know, good computer software is useless unless you upgrade your hardware. Unfortunately, it occurs to me that my brain cannot memorize people's name well, even though you have simple and common name such as Budi, Andi, Wati, etc. So does with these persons I investigate in Facebook. What always happens is that when I meet them, I remember the faces and,,,, err, err, I don't remember the names...
But no matter what, stalking and investigate people in Facebook is simply F U N
So peeps, keep up with my limited brain memory.
